June 1, 2025 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Virtual
https://www.mobilize.us/pramilaforcongress/event/775585/
About this event
Interested in hosting an organizing training with your friends and family on June 1st? We'll show you how! Simply fill out this form: https://forms.gle/RXZwieKnLNkyYUox8. Once submitted, a member of our team will reach out with all the tools and resources you need to host a successful training.
This session will cover our Resistance Lab 1.0 curriculum. If you missed the first session, this is for you!
The Resistance Lab is a series of trainings that are developed specifically for this moment. In this first lab, we look at how non-violent movements around the world have responded to leaders who seize power in authoritarian ways and the most effective tools and tactics to utilize in these moments. We offer frameworks to understand this moment at home, and incorporate interactive conversation with others to help create community and build our resistance movement.
The Resistance Lab was developed with experts who have researched and studied democratic backsliding around the world as well as in the United States and the non-violent movements that have emerged to challenge those authoritarian leaders. We also draw from many toolkits for effective tactics and frameworks as well as from Pramila’s own background leading successful organizing movements for economic and social justice for two decades.
Our goals are to help people understand how democracies fall and the most effective resistance movements that have challenged authoritarians and dictators; to turn anger, fear and frustration into action in the short-term while also preparing for a coordinated resistance movement for the longer term; and to build community across the country that can help grow our movement. At the end of the day, we want to get people strike-ready and street-ready and make sure we protect our people, our freedoms and our democracy.
With Trump and his MAGA billionaires doubling down on their attacks on the economic livelihoods of people to thrive and on our democracy, we can’t afford to sit this moment out. This is about building real power together. And it starts with you.
RSVP today to secure your spot! You’ll receive the virtual event link closer to the date.

""Do you worry that you're complicit in sending people out of the country who shouldn't be sent out of the country?" he was asked."I know there's a lot of very good and earnest people who are working very hard to verify that the ones that we are deporting or taking into custody are really the ones that need to be taken into custody and deported to enhance our public safety. So, do I worry about it? I don't worry about it, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned. I always have that concern," McDonald said."https://www.wcvb.com/article/massachusetts-ice-holding-facility-plymouth-county/64445839

June 6th D-Day Anniversary Protest – Veterans Stand Against Fascism Nationwide
June 6th D-Day Anniversary Protest – Veterans Stand Against Fascism Nationwide
June 6, 2025
Location
Washington, D.C. and every state capitol, city hall, and town hall
Learn more at American Opposition
Date
Sunday, June 6, 2025
Organized by
American Opposition
ABOUT THIS EVENT
On June 6, 1944, thousands of Allied soldiers stormed the beaches of Normandy to fight fascism abroad. On June 6, 2025, veterans and civilians will again take a stand — this time against the rise of fascism here at home.
The D-Day Anniversary Protest is a nationwide call to action led by those who’ve worn the uniform and those who still believe in liberty, justice, and the Constitution they swore to defend. This peaceful but powerful protest will take place in Washington, D.C., and every state capitol, city hall, and town hall across the country.
Why now? Because democracy is not self-sustaining. Because silence is complicity. And because the same authoritarian playbook that brought the world to war 80 years ago is being recycled right here in the United States — in broad daylight.
Veterans will lead the way, but everyone is invited to stand beside them. Bring your signs, your voice, and your resolve.
WHEN: June 6, 2025
WHERE: Washington, D.C. and every state capitol, city hall, and town hall
WHY: To honor the true spirit of D-Day by standing up to fascism here and now.

People's Hearings on Bills for Legislative Reform, Boston
People's Hearings on Bills for Legislative Reform, Boston
June 17, 2025 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
Church on the Hill, 140 Bowdoin St, Boston, MA 02108, USA
The Coalition to Reform Our Legislature (CROL) will hold a people’s hearing on two bills, filed by its members and allies, which would improve the way that our legislature operates. The bills were filed consistent with House and Senate rules, yet both chambers bypassed the typical process of holding formal hearings on them, leaving the public in the dark on their benefits.
When: Tuesday, June 17 1:30-3 PM
Where: Church on the Hill, 140 Bowdoin St., Boston
Who: Moderated by former State Representative Jay Kaufman
Why: CROL is a politically diverse coalition of groups and individuals committed to making the Massachusetts legislature more accountable, effective, and transparent. CROL proposed two bills to accomplish those objectives. One bill would establish independent legislative research and fiscal analysis bureaus to provide legislators with the tools necessary to craft legislation based on objective data, rather than reliance on special interests.
The second bill would reform the stipend system which presently gives leadership extraordinary control over legislators’ salaries, replacing it with a less costly and less leadership-controlled stipend system that rewards performance, rather than loyalty. (More specifics about both bills are available on CROL’s website, malegreform.org.)
CROL is holding this hearing to advance public debate on our dysfunctional legislature.
