The responsibility of elected Town Constables is to post notices about upcoming elections and Town Meetings. As a taxpayer and proud parent of two HHS graduates, I know how important it is to be involved in the decisions that affect our families. I would be honored to serve as Constable and help keep our residents informed and involved.
Candidate Statement
My name is Kyla McSweeney and I am running for reelection to the Hopkinton School Committee. I have served on the School Committee the past 2 years. I feel my experience is an asset to the Hopkinton Public Schools. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, a Master’s degree in Leadership and Policy in Early Childhood Education and a Juris Doctor. I have worked for the Dept of Education and as special education attorney. I am currently employed at the Dept of Early Education and Care managing a grant that goes to school districts to increase access to quality preschool education and ensure equitable access to special education.
Some of the notable contributions I made serving on the school committee during my first year include:
- Co-chairing the Superintendent Search Committee which resulted in the hire for Superintendent Evan Bishop
- Serving as one of two school committee members on the Director of Student Services search
- Attending meetings as a liaison to the Hopkinton Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC)
Currently I am serving as Chair of the School Committee where I help set the agenda for school committee meetings which have resulted in the inclusion of various speakers such as the Public Health Department and School Principals to discuss issues relevant to the School Committee. I again served on the Director of Student Services search and have participated in interviews for the CFO position and Hopkinton High School principal position. I solicited feedback from diverse members of the community to assist the school committee in voting on the school calendar. I organized a workshop to educate school committee members on how to evaluate the superintendent. I work closely with Superintendent Bishop and the Leadership Team on issues the schools are facing and provide input and thoughtful dialogue. In January, I was the only school committee member to participate in an exercise hosted by the I love you guys foundation in collaboration with Hopkinton Police and Fire Departments to increase our capacity to keep Hopkinton Schools safe in the case of an emergency.
I truly embrace the motto of the HPS, All means All. I show up to support the dedicated educators, administrators and staff of HPS. I attend a variety of school and community events that represent the diversity of our community such as

I hope to continue my time on the Hopkinton School Committee to further ensure that Hopkinton PS retain their excellence which I believe is a result of supporting and investing in our educators, communicating and involving families, and inspiring the curiosity and innovation of our students.

I’m running for re-election to the Board of Health to continue working toward a safe, healthy, and strong community.
Over the past three years, I have had the privilege of supporting our Health Department through significant change and challenge. We navigated funding hurdles, staffing transitions, and complex public health issues while continuing to deliver essential services and strengthening the department’s ability to serve residents.
Public health is the work that keeps a town running safely behind the scenes — ensuring restaurants meet safety standards, housing remains sanitary, septic and well systems are properly built, and environmental risks are addressed early. It also protects schools, public spaces, and community events by preventing and responding quickly to health concerns.
One of my primary goals was modernizing Health Department operations. Today, the first phase of digitization is complete, with most property records now electronically searchable. We also adopted the Nicotine-Free Generation regulation, helping protect future generations from nicotine addiction.
The department has expanded vaccination efforts, added Sharps Disposal units, and installed air-quality monitors to strengthen prevention and community health resources. As public health faces funding uncertainty, thoughtful planning and science-based leadership remain essential.
My family has proudly called Hopkinton home for over a decade. Our children grew up here, and we’ve been grateful to raise our family in such an active and engaged community. Together, my husband and I have been involved in Hopkinton town government for nearly 14 years.
I remain committed to transparency, evidence-based policies, and clear communication. Public health may not always be visible, but it is essential — and I would be honored to continue serving our community.

Candidate Statement
My name is Amy Ritterbusch and I am running for a third term on the Hopkinton Select Board. I am a hard worker, I do my research and I have a long history of involvement with the town and schools. Given the ongoing budget challenges, there is a need for stability, calm and experience on the Select Board. I don’t have all the answers, but I work hard to understand the issues and articulate them to the public. I try to reach out to residents from all parts of town, lifelong residents and newcomers to hear their questions and concerns.
My husband Tim and I have lived in Hopkinton for 22 years. We own a modest 146-year old home in the center of Hopkinton and enjoy walking in the downtown area. Our three children are HHS graduates (2018, 2020 and 2023), and at home we enjoy the company of our sweet orange cat, Cheerio. I have a BA from UMass Amherst and currently work as a Software & Web Analyst for the Wellesley Public School district. I have held many volunteer roles in town over the years. At the moment I am serving on the Select Board, the Hopkinton Center Historic District Commission and the Commission on Disability. I have previously served on the Planning Board, the Growth Study Committee and the Design Review Board. I am a founding member of eHop and have served as an eHop board member since 2007.
It is important to have Select Board members who are knowledgeable, informed and actively engaged with the issues and the residents. My communications background, technical and research skills are a good compliment to the skill sets of the other board members. I work hard to stay on top of the issues in town and I bring that knowledge to the Select Board. I respectfully ask for your vote on Monday, May 18, 2026.

I humbly ask for your vote for re-election on May 18th to the Hopkinton Housing Authority. Elected to my first term in 2020, I will continue to be a strong advocate for affordable and safe public housing in Hopkinton. The Housing Authority is home to many of our veterans, seniors, residents with disabilities, and families. Our work as a board is critical to their wellbeing and it is my honor to continue to serve.

Hello! My name is Regina and I am running for an opening seat on the Hopkinton Board of Health. The decision behind running for this seat is to be able to effectuate equitable public health and safety decisions when it comes to the Hopkinton community. My main goals are to prioritize educators and elevate their role to that of essential employees as well as to improve and innovate Hopkinton’s Public Health and Safety, using my direct healthcare experience as a front line Speech Language Pathologist at a major hospital in Massachusetts and a current Physician Assistant student at the MGH Institute of Health Professionals. My latent goal is to add a fresh perspective on the Hopkinton community’s emergency preparedness and response to crises as well as to contribute to the overall diversity of the Hopkinton elected officials being an immigrant, a working mom and a woman of color. I was born and raised in Russia. I moved to the US at the age of 19 years old with my family. I graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a Bachelor’s degree in English (Magna Cum Laude) and a Master’s Of Science in Education. After working as an EMT for EMS in Boston and for Boston University’s compliance department, I went on to pursue a second Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology. Upon successful completion of this degree, I worked as a medical Speech Language Pathologist at MGH, Newton Wellesley and most currently at Emerson Hospital. Last year I was admitted in and began my third Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies over at MGH Institute of Health Professions from which I should be graduating next spring. During the pandemic I have worked with respiratory COVID 19 patients as a speech therapist per diem at Emerson as well as completed my pulmonary rotation on the COVID 19 floor at MGH. It has been a trying time but it made me more resilient and gave me an opportunity to glean from this virus to understand the infection control and overall emergency preparedness protocols and processes in Massachusetts hospitals and communities.

Last fall I was asked to fill an unexpired term for a Trustee of the Hopkinton Library and now am seeking a full three year term through this year’s election.
Hopkinton represents my third library Trustee position served over the past twenty years. I served six years with the Norfolk Library in Norfolk, CT from 2003-2009 and another six years with the Scoville Memorial Library in Salisbury, CT from 2011-2017. In my work with all three libraries I gained a strong appreciation for how they serve as a key cultural center in their respective communities. I had read during the early days of the internet, Kindle, and other technological means of viewing books and publications that libraries would soon face extinction but nothing could have been further from the truth.
Not only has circulation continued to grow with avid increasing demand for printed books but library programs involved with art, literature, music, and public information continually play a transformative learning platform for citizens of all ages. Hopkinton has a beautiful library building and a friendly professional staff that works hard to maximize its circulation offerings and new programmatic initiatives designed to make the library a true learning center.
I feel my experience and interest in maintaining the highest standards for this special institution will aid in the important role of the Library Board of Trustees.

I would like to take a moment of your time to introduce myself and provide information on my background. My name is Adam R. Munroe. I am a candidate for the Hopkinton School Committee.
I have been a resident of Hopkinton for many years and my family’s history within the town goes back decades. My wife Heather and our three children truly enjoy calling Hopkinton our home. Our youngest child is currently a student in the Hopkinton school system. He enjoys being a student and often brings home exciting and interesting news from school.
I find Hopkinton provides a unique sense of community. We share wonderful schools, amazing events, and unparalleled community engagement with our public library, parks, and recreation opportunities. These advantages, and many more, are surpassed only by the overwhelming sense of dedication and service of those who have committed themselves to ensuring Hopkinton remains the safe and comfortable town we call home.
In the spirit of community service, I ask for the opportunity to serve on our School Committee. While Hopkinton is a great town, we also face many challenges. Fiscal acumen, economic equity, and transparency are core values that inspire my desire to serve on the committee. The residents of Hopkinton should expect a school committee that is engaged, responsible, and ensures that the core values Hopkinton residents are represented in the education of its students.
I currently serve as a member of Hopkinton’s Marathon Committee, where over the past several years I have fostered lasting relationships with many officials and others, which has allowed me to demonstrate teamwork, collaboration, and trust. Additionally, I serve on the Hopkinton Board of Assessors and help to ensure the tax base is executed in a fair and equitable manner in line with state regulations. I believe this steadfast oversight ensures that all residents in Hopkinton can feel confident that their interests are being handled in a transparent and professional manner.
My background has always been in service to others. I am a former paramedic with over 20 years of service. I continued my service journey to become a registered nurse, first obtaining my Associate degree, then Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Currently I am completing a PhD candidacy with a focus in Nursing Education.
My current roles include being department chair of a nursing program at a local community college and a registered nurse in a busy local emergency department. I have also served as a visiting lecturer in the Nursing Department at Framingham State University. All of these require fastidious attention to detail, an understanding of a variety of perspectives, an in-depth understanding of analytic data, and ability to apply critical thinking to evolving situations. My responsibilities as the chair of the nursing department include evaluating current educational practices for the nursing program and making recommendations for evidence-based changes and modifications to support sound educational practices while also embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion from across the community. Additionally, developing budgets, reviewing policies, developing and executing strategic plans, collaborating with administrators, faculty, staff, and students are responsibilities I feel will transfer well to the school committee.
